76-Year Old Female: She has been wearing orthotics in her shoes for 40 years due to foot pain. Within five weeks she removed the orthotics from her shoes with no foot pain. No orthotics and no foot pain after 40 years. What happened? We changed the joint architecture of her feet. 25% of your bones and 23% of your joints are in your feet. The position of these bones and joints shift over time. Why not change the position back to when you were younger? 87-Year Old Male: He suffered for years from severe low back pain due to arthritis. Within three months the pain was gone. How did he do it? First, we created space between the five lumbar vertebrae. 86-Year Old Female: She had been severely hunched over for more than a decade. In turn, her center of mass was too far forward of her base of support. She was falling on a regular basis and was classified as a high fall risk. We corrected her posture (see before and after pictures on the Pictures Page) in five weeks. How was her posture corrected? We used corrective exercise to “wake up” her rhomboids and mid-trapezius in her upper/mid back. I spoke with her six-months ago, and she has not fallen in over a year. KM, Walpole, MA

73-Year Old Female: A year and a half after hip surgery she still walked with a limp. After eight weeks of corrective exercise the limp started to disappear. How did she do it? We connected the upper body to the lower body. As we age our core starts to atrophy from sitting. We created length in the lumbar spine and held the length with bracing of the stabilizers in the abdominals. This took some of the upper body weight off the lower body. No limp.
